We all collectively remember the blue see-trough shirt covered in renaissance angels that was featured everywhere on Instagram in 2017. And, looking back on it, we’re also surely reminded of how it was never worth the hype and soon went out of fashion, making way for just as many eccentric "MICRO TRENDS" that best express how the whole Fast Fashion industry carries on. Just like it's happening now with every single piece of clothing we see a cute girl wear on Pinterest, such as 70s' prints or patchwork pants, the Internet constantly showing us the same pieces manages to convince us they're essential in our wardrobe to be trendy and always keep up with the latest vogues.
Truth is we soon realize those items of clothing are hard to style and may even result bizarre only two weeks after the trend started going viral; and that's why it becomes easier for us not to choose any of them when picking out a fit and just leave them in the meanders of our closet, creating a pile of clothes which are- ironically and incredibly- outdated but brand new at the same time!
If you still haven't managed to completely give up Fast Fashion then, you could at least try and avoid the so called "Micro Trends" and look for Basic Pieces instead, since jeans and plain shirts will surely never go out of style. By doing so you'd contribute to stop the FFindustry's tendency to make trends increasingly more disposable.
Blouses, denim and different color Tees don't belong to any specific decade and can be styled in various fun ways that let us keep up with the trends just as much as the clothes we see on Tiktok do. Besides, let's not forget how classy and timeless basics look, especially if paired up with the right jewelry and accessories which never fail to elevate the look and make it unique.
On that note, go have fun with the clothes you already own (bonus points if they're second hand!) and always try and think about the amount of times you'll actually wear the funky skirt you're about to buy off of Shein before purchasing it!
Nic scrivi proprio bene! Mi ha tenuto attaccata allo schermo il tuo articolo ed era molto interessante il modo in cui lo trattavi, non ti smentisci MAI.
